And I love the fact that she isn’t portrayed as delicate or soft. Indigo is associated with royalty and nobility but also with austere strength. The way she’s posed and interacting with the camera—no demurely averted gaze ala Jackie O. She’s staring at the photographer, staring them down.
Not adversarial, but assertive

I didn’t realize until this picture set that Taylor’s shoes were shitkicking boots with disney princess slippers stuck on the bottom.

It’s possible that putting disney princess slippers on the bottom of your knee high shitkicking boots is how one literally embodies the virgin-whore dichotomy

My immediate thought when I saw this on quigonejinn’s Tumblr was Freeway — a film I watched when I was consuming ALL the LRR tellings and retellings for my senior seminar paper … and which I’m not sure I’ve thought about in the ~8 years since; wow, brain.  I needed the Internet to tell me the name of the film I was remembering and I didn’t even know it it was the same actress, but my brain was ON IT.

Auror Tonks explains the importance of arriving on time to the new trainees, because you don’t get time-turner clearance until you’ve worked here seven months and passed the stealth test. And, the character of the Undersecretaries being what it is, sometimes not even then.

I love everything about this photo.
